Roberto, Quarticello 'Le Mole' Malvasia Emilia IGT
REGION: Montecchio Emilia, Emilia Romagna
GOOD TO KNOW: The "Quarticello" Farm is located on the beautiful hills of Montecchio Emilia, near the river Enza at the foot of the Emilian-Tuscany Appennines. The small vineyard was purchased by the Maestri Family in 2001 and their first vintage was in 2006 focusing in native grape varietals. Roberto fell in love of this land, decided to study enology and then came back to start producing natural wines with ancient approach. He works organically on five hectares of vines. Roberto makes expressive wines from native grapes like Malvasia Emilia IGT, without interventions that can change the expression of the characteristics of native varieties bred in the heart of the territories of origin.
TASTE: Medium body, dark color orange wine. Funky, aromatic and complex due to maceration and ripening, yeasty, cloudy, intense and structured.
