Giacomo, Barolo Castellero Brezza, Nebbiolo
REGION: Barolo, Piemonte
GOOD TO KNOW: the Brezza private estate lies next to the small town of Barolo, immersed in the vineyards, as is the nearby Hotel Barolo and Restaurant Brezza, also property of the Brezza family. The estate extends over 31 hectars, of which 20 are vineyards, some dating back to 1885. The Brezza family has owned and operated their winery and vineyards since 1885. The property has taken its name from Giacomo Brezza, who with his father Antonio had produced their first bottle in 1910. The vinification style, for all of Brezza’s wines, is that they use a light hand that is more to accompany the grapes until the bottle. They believe that a wine especially from a single variety, is unique and unrepeatable … is like how a child is accompanied in its growth without force, to encourage their unique personality to come fourth.
TASTE: on the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy, juicy red cherry and berries with small notes of plum associated with fine touches of violet and lily.
